DAUPHIN, Man. – As an electric crowd watched on inside Credit Union Place in Dauphin, Manitoba, Gilmar Santana showed up and showed out, going a perfect 2-for-2 to win the Canadian Touring Pro Division’s PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Dauphin.

Santana first put points on the board in Round 1 when he made the requisite 8 on Shock Top (Skori Bucking Bulls) for 84.4 points. He then delivered his second qualified ride in as many attempts when he conquered Into The Fray (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle) for 83.9 points.

Collecting 54 national points for his golden finish, Santana rose from No. 8 to No. 5 in the race for the 2026 PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,000 bonus. He now trails No. 1 Nick Tetz (Calgary, Alberta), who did not compete at PBR Dauphin, by 323.83 points.

Second was Tyler Craig (Crossfield, Alberta).

After bucking off PopFly (Rafter 8 Bulls) in 2.19 seconds in Round 1, Craig was quick to rebound, outlasting Samcro (Lazy S Bucking Bulls) for a Round 2-best 85.5 points.

Leaving Credit Union Place with 36 national points, Craig rose from No. 25 to No. 21 in the Canadian standings.

Three-time PBR Canada Champion Aaron Roy (Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan) was third, netting 23 national points.

Despite bucking off Bullseye (Skori Bucking Bulls) in 2.81 seconds in Round 1, Roy regained his championship-contending form in Round 2, riding Moosomin Dodge Elk (Lazy S Bucking Bulls) for 85.3 points.

On the hunt for his unprecedented fourth national title this November, Roy surged from No. 12 to No. 9 in the standings, propelled within 375.33 points of No. 1 Tetz.

Rounding out the Top 5 in fifth was two-time PBR Canada Champion Cody Coverchuk (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan) who rode Cheeko (Skori Bucking Bulls) for 84.3 points in Round 2.

Courtesy of a double-entry, Coverchuk also finished eighth. His second Top-10 finish was highlighted by an 82.6-point ride aboard Dog Pound (Skori Bucking Bulls) in the opening round.

Earning 29 national points, Coverchuk rose from No. 5 to No. 4 in the standings. He now trails the top rank by 323.67 points.

In the bull pen, Players Club (Stevens Bucking Bulls) bucked supreme, crowned the Bull of the Event. The powerful animal athlete was marked an unrivaled 42.6 points in Round 2 when he tossed Chanse Skene (Prince Albert, Saskatchewan) in 6 seconds.
