Flawless Jeremy Maisonneuve Wins Career-First PBR Canada Event at 2026 Season-Launch Touring Pro Division Stop in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan

LLOYDMINSTER, Sask. – As the 2026 season got underway Saturday night in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, young gun Jeremy Maisonneuve (Val-des-monts, Quebec) rode supreme, going a perfect 2-for-2 to win his first PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada event, victorious at the Touring Pro Division’s PBR Winter Classic.

The 18-year-old sensation got off to a fast start in Round 1, conquering User Friendly (Thompson Rodeo Livestock) for a second-best 85.5 points.

Maisonneuve then went head-to-head with Pyper (Foley Bucking Bulls) in the championship round. Matching the powerful animal athlete jump-for-jump, Maisonneuve was marked an event-best 86.5 points to cement his career-first PBR Canada win.

Courtesy of the golden finish, Maisonneuve earned 59 national points, vaulting to an early No. 1 rank in the race for the 2026 PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,000 bonus. He now leads No. 2 Nick Tetz (Calgary, Alberta) by 10 points.

Two-time PBR Canada Champion Tetz was second, netting 49 national points.

As the only other rider to cover both of his draws, Tetz topped Diggin Up Bones (Thompson Rodeo Livestock) for a Round 1-winning 86 points, and outlasted Pay Day (Skori Bucking Bulls) for 85 points in the championship round.

Marshall Senger (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan) was third.

Despite being bucked off by Where’s It At (Vold Rodeo) in 5.06 seconds in Round 1, Senger was quick to rebound, climbing his way to a podium finish by riding Twisted Logic (Thompson Rodeo Livestock) for 84.5 points in the championship round.

Senger took home 22 national points. He is now ranked No. 3 in Canada, 37 points behind No. 1 Maisonneuve.

Fourth was two-time PBR Canada Champion Dakota Buttar (Eatonia, Saskatchewan), collecting 19 national points.

Buttar bested Woozy (Foley Bucking Bulls) for 84 points in Round 1, but came up short of the win when he was tossed by Whiskey Moon (Skori Bucking Bulls) in 2.84 seconds in the final round.

Chasing his record-tying third PBR Canada Championship this November, Buttar is now ranked No. 4 in Canada, 40 points behind No. 1 Maisonneuve.

Rounding out the Top 5 in fifth was Logan Biever (Claresholm, Alberta).

Biever netted 16 national points for his 83.5-point ride aboard Kraken (Skori Bucking Bulls) in the opening round of the PBR Winter Classic.

On the hunt for his first PBR Canada Championship at season’s end, Biever is now ranked No. 5 in Canada, 43 points back of the top rank.

In the bull pen, All Apologies (Thompson Rodeo Livestock) bucked supreme, crowned the Bull of the Event. The powerful animal athlete was awarded an unrivaled 43 points in the championship round for tossing Zachery King (Fort St. John, British Columbia) in 1.9 seconds.
