Perfect Jared Parsonage Wins PBR’s Glen Keeley Memorial Bull Riding in Stavely, Alberta

STAVELY, Alta. – At the prestigious Glen Keeley Memorial Bull Riding Saturday night in Stavely, Alberta, Jared Parsonage (Maple Creek, Saskatchewan) showed up and showed out, going a perfect 2-for-2 to win the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada Touring Pro Division event and gain crucial ground in the race for the 2025 Championship.

Parsonage got off to a quick start in Round 1, vaulting to the top of the event leaderboard when he bested Tombstone (TFB Ranch) for 85 points.

The reserved Saskatchewan man then cemented the win when he outlasted Thunder Down Under (Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp.) for an event-best 86 points in the championship round.  

Courtesy of the golden finish, Parsonage earned 62 national points.

While he remained No. 3 in the race for the 2025 PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,000 bonus, he inched within 164.17 points of No. 1 Dakota Buttar (Eatonia, Saskatchewan).

Buttar was unable to grow his lead after going 0-for-1 at Stavely Arena. He was upended by Cracker Jack (W Sunrise) in 3.66 seconds in Round 1.

As the only other rider to convert at the Glen Keeley Memorial Bull Riding, Dusty Golden (Mayerthorpe, Alberta) was second, netting 33 national points.

Golden rode User Friendly (Thompson Rodeo Livestock) for 81 points in Round 1 to secure the silver showing.

In the national standings, Golden climbed from No. 37 to No. 30.

PBR’s bovine athletes stole the show at the Glen Keeley Memorial Bull Riding, surrendering just three rides in 27 attempts, posting a commanding 88.89% buck off rate.

In the bull pen, Stray Bucks (S&M Bucking Bulls) bucked a cut above the rest, crowned the Bull of the Event. He was marked an unrivaled 43.5 points in the championship round when he tossed Jake Gardner (Fort St. John, British Columbia) in a swift 4.15 seconds.

The 2025 PBR Canada season continues Wednesday, August 20 in Raymond, Alberta, for the Touring Pro Division’s R.K. Heggie PBR. Action at the Raymond Rodeo Grounds begins at 6:00 p.m. MT.
