LETHBRIDGE, Alta. – For the eighth consecutive season, PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada’s elite Cup Series will travel to Lethbridge, Alberta, taking over VisitLethbridge.com Arena on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7 for the PBR South Country Co-op Showdown.

PBR Canada’s Cup Series, which set tour records in eleven cities in 2025, welcoming more than 75,000 fans, regularly features Canada’s best riders alongside some of the organization’s top international athletes, squaring off against the rankest bucking bulls from across the nation.

For two nights only, fans will witness exhilarating 8-second rides and wrecks throughout the unpredictable, action-packed event as the PBR’s courageous bull-riding athletes face off against their 2,000-pound opponents born to buck.

The PBR South Country Co-op Showdown will mark the second event of the 2026 regular season for PBR Canada’s premier Cup Series.

When the Cup Series last travelled to Lethbridge in March 2025, two-time PBR Canada Champion Nick Tetz (Calgary, Alberta) rode white hot, delivering a perfect 3-for-3 performance to win his fifth consecutive Cup Series event in the Alberta city.

Tetz got off to a quick start in Round 1, delivering the top score when he rode Trailer Trash (Vold Rodeo) for 85 points. As Championship Saturday got underway, he remained atop the leaderboard after riding Sin Wagon (Vold Rodeo/Prescott) for a Round 2-best 87.5 points.

With the first pick in the championship round, Tetz selected a familiar opponent in Langham Kid (Two Bit Bucking Bulls). In 2022, Tetz rode the powerful bovine athlete for 88 points during the National Finals en route to winning his first Canadian Championship, while in 2024 Tetz not only rode the bull for a monstrous 90 points to win the regular-season event in Medicine Hat, Alberta, but he also covered Langham Kid for 87.5 points to clinch his second PBR Canada Championship.

In Lethbridge, the duo again danced for a memorable score, this time teaming for 87.5 points to clinch the PBR South Country Co-op Showdown event win for Tetz.

Courtesy of the win, Tetz earned a crucial 151 national points. He vaulted from No. 14 to then No. 1 in the race for the 2025 PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,000 bonus. He left Lethbridge leading then No. 2 Dakota Buttar (Eatonia, Saskatchewan) by 6 points.

Other past PBR Canada Cup Series event winners in Lethbridge are: Tetz (2025-2022 – Calgary, Alberta); Zane Lambert (2021 – Ponoka, Alberta); Garret Green (2020 – Meeting Creek, Alberta); Brock Radford (2020 – De Winton, Alberta); Ty Ellis (2020 – Sonningdale, Saskatchewan); Dakota Buttar (2020 – Eatonia, Saskatchewan) and Jared Parsonage (2019 – Maple Creek, Saskatchewan).

The bull riding action for PBR Canada Cup Series’ South Country Co-op Showdown begins at 7:00 p.m. MST on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7.

Tickets for the event go on sale Friday, November 21 at 10:00 a.m. MST. They can be purchased online at VisitLethbridgeArena.ca, or charge by phone at (403) 329-7328.
