LACOMBE, Alta. – The 2025 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada season continued Saturday night in Lacombe, Alberta, as Garrett Green (Meeting Creek, Alberta) went a perfect 2-for-2 to win the Touring Pro Division’s Lacombe Pro Bull Riding and gain ground in the race for the season’s Canadian Championship.

In Round 1, Green took on Wicked Water (Two Bit Bucking Bulls). Bursting from the chutes, Green rode the powerful bovine athlete for a round-winning 83.5 points to surge to an early event lead.

Green then settled in aboard Toxic Masculinity (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle) in Round 2. Making the whistle, the veteran Albertan scored 85 points to clinch the victory.

Leaving the Lacombe & District Agriculture Society Grounds with 59 national points, Green remained No. 4 in the race for the 2025 PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,000 bonus. He climbed within 270.33 points of No. 1 Dakota Buttar (Eatonia, Saskatchewan).

Buttar was shutout at the Lacombe Pro Bull Riding. He bucked off Effective (Vold Rodeo/R Saga Ranch) in 3.97 seconds in Round 1.

As the only other rider to go a perfect 2-for-2, Jordan Hansen (Amisk, Alberta) was second, collecting 45 national points.

Hansen bested Young Blood (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle/Legend Rodeo Stock) for 79 points in Round 1, before conquering Jet Black (Skori Bucking Bulls) for an event-best 87.5 points in Round 2.

Chasing his first PBR Canada Championship this November, Hansen rose from No. 6 to No. 5 in the standings, inching within 374 points of No. 1 Buttar.

Lonnie West (Cadogan, Alberta) was third.

West’s bronze showing was championed by an 83-point ride on Cheeko (Skori Bucking Bulls) in Round 1. He fell short of the win when he was tossed by Bad Business (Big Stone Rodeo Co.) in 4.66 seconds in the final round.

Rounding out the Top 5 and tying for fourth was Chanse Switzer (Hazenmore, Saskatchewan) and Jerson Arantes (Paranaiba, Brazil).

Both riders logged 81.5-point efforts in the opening round as Switzer outlasted Big Easy (Skori Bucking Bulls) and Arantes topped Grand Slam (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle).

In the Canadian standings, Switzer rose from No. 18 to No. 15, and Arantes surged from No. 21 to No. 16.

In the bull pen, Effective, Hanna Motors Stand By You (Skori Bucking Bulls) and London Fog (Kinky Buckers) tied for the Bull of the Event title, all marked an unrivaled 42.5 points.

Effective earned the top marks in Round 1 when he bucked off Buttar, Hanna Motors Stand By You lit up the scoreboard in Round 2 when he tossed Wade Marshall (Invercargill, New Zealand) in 4.75 seconds, and London Fog turned heads in Round 2 when he made quick work of Switzer in 4.5 seconds.
