Australia's Lachlan Richardson nabs buckle in Kinsella

KINSELLA, Alberta – Lachlan Richardson (Gresford, NSW, Australia) returned to the winner’s circle for the first time this season, delivering at perfect performance in Kinsella, Alberta to take the title at the PBR Canada Touring Pro Division’s Kinsella Gravel Dome Bull-a-Rama.

In Round 1, the 24-year-old rode Jubilee Jim (Foley Bucking Bulls) for 82.5 points, finishing second, which he followed with a round-winning, 86.5-point trip aboard Oklahoma Blues (Girletz Rodeo Stock) in the short go.

For his performance, Richardson earned $3,751.25 and 60 points towards the world standings.

The win comes in the midst of a busy summer run for the Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) regular who was sidelined the first half of the season recovering from an injury he sustained to his riding arm at the 2016 BFTS World Finals. So far this summer, including this win, Richardson has accumulated six Top 5 finishes and more than 100 points towards the world standings.

Thor Hoefer II (Priest River, Idaho) capitalized on his multiple event entries, finishing second and third.

The Idaho native rode Warlock (Girletz Rodeo Stock) and Original Sin (Thompson Rodeo Livestock) in Round 1, both to the tune of 82 points.

In the championship round, Hoefer made the 8 aboard Honky Sam (Eno Bucking Bulls) for 85.5 points and Rat Trap (Flying Four Bucking Bulls) for 84 points.

For the sweep, the 21-year-old collectively earned $4,102.11 and 50 world points.

Fourth place went to Fabiano Dueck (Loma Plata, Boqueron, Paraguay) who won Round 1 after riding Mick’s Mouse (Girletz Rodeo Stock) for 84.5 points. Dueck earned $1,403.35 and 15 world points.

Rounding out the Top 5 was Rosendo Ramirez (Hidalgo, Mexico). Ramirez used his 82.5-point ride aboard Just a Crackin (Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp) to earn the fifth place finish, $858.20, and 10 world points.

 

Coy Robbins (Camrose, Alberta) was the event's highest finishing Canadian taking home a tie of sixth after 81.5 points on Finning Regulator (Flying Four Bucking Bulls).

PBR Canada’s Touring Pro Division now travels to Czar, Alberta for the Czar Lake Bullarama on July 21 at 7:00pm and Manor, Saskatchewan for the Manor Fun Daze PBR on July 22nd at 6:30pm.
