PUEBLO, Colo. (July 29, 2010) - The Professional Bull Riders Touring Pro Division will travel to California, New Mexico and Texas this week.

The TPD is the minor-league tour of the PBR, where both established veterans and newcomers to the professional ranks compete against some of the most famous bucking bulls. The TPD gives riders the opportunity to compete in PBR-sanctioned events while earning money to qualify for the elite Built Ford Tough Series, which is comprised of the Top 40 bull riders in the world. Every five events on the BFTS, riders (based on points) who have slipped below the Top 30 are dropped from the BFTS, and the Top 5 riders (based on money earned) from the TPD are allowed to move into the BFTS.

The TPD is in Yuba City, Calif., on Wednesday and Thursday for the Mikel J. Moreno Memorial TPD. Bull riding begins at 7:30 p.m. each day at the Yuba Sutter Fair.

TPD action travels to the Eastern New Mexico State Fairgrounds in Roswell, N.M., on Friday and Saturday for the Jesse Andrus/Mike Hillman Memorial. Bull riding begins at 7:30 p.m. each night. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by telephone at (575) 317-8430.

The event in Weatherford is an American Bucking Bull, Inc. Classic event. The ABBI, which introduces young bucking bulls at select BFTS and Touring Pro events, is dedicated to unifying, developing and promoting the bucking bull industry through pedigree preservation; enhancement and promotion of bucking bull ownership, breeding, and welfare; and development of programs and events showcasing the world's finest bucking bull stock. The ABBI is the third-largest cattle registry and is set up to record and preserve the pedigrees of the world's premier bucking bulls.

The BFTS travels to San Antonio for the United States Air Force Invitational at the AT&T Center on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets begin at $10 and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com or by telephone at (800) 745-3000.
