PBR World Champion set to compete in Regina

The Toughest Sport on EarthTM invades Brandt Centre June 15-16

PBR Canada Touring ProREGINA, Saskatchewan (June 6, 2011) -
The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Canada Touring Pro heads to Regina, SK, for the Conexus presents Bulls, Boys & Bucks brought to you by AgriCard on Wednesday, June 15, and Thursday, June 16, at the Brandt Centre.  For two action-packed nights, established PBR veterans and newcomers to the professional ranks will compete against some of the world’s toughest bucking bulls.  Starting at just $15 plus s/c, tickets include admission to the Western Canada Farm Progress Show presented by Viterra and are available at all Ticketmaster outlets; online at www.ticketmaster.ca; and by telephone at (800) 970-7328.

After spending the majority of the 2011 season on the Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) south of the border, two-time Canadian National Champion Aaron Roy of Asquith, SK, and Dusty Ephrom of Arcola, SK, are preparing to capture part of $15,000 up for grabs on home soil.  Former World Champion and 2004 World Finals Event Champion Mike Lee of Decatur, TX, is also expected to compete, along with five-time Canadian Nationals Finals qualifier Tyler Thomson of Black Diamond, AB, and Saskatchewan natives Tanner Byrne and Vince Northrop.

The bull riding begins at 7:00 p.m. both Wednesday and Thursday at Brandt Centre, Regina, with 20 riders competing in two rounds of heart-pounding action each night.  This is not a rodeo; it’s the Toughest Sport on EarthTM.

The Bulls, Boys & Bucks will also feature a junior steer riding and junior bull riding event prior to the PBR both Wednesday and Thursday.  This unique junior event is produced by Glenn Lipsett.  For details, call Zoe Lipsett at (306) 533-5242.
