Canadian and American Share Round One Victory
ABBOTSFORD, British (January 30, 2010) - Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Canada invaded the Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre for the first stop of the 2010 PBR Canadian Cup Series presented by Wrangler. On Friday, during the first night of the Abbotsford Invitational, Alberta superstar Jordie Campbell (Bindloss, AB) and Texan Harve Stewart (Stephenville, TX) both conquered their rank matchups with 88 point rides atop Whisky Wisdom (Sissons Bucking Bulls) and Disposal Dude (Coyote Creek Rodeo) respectfully, to tie for the round one lead.
With this tie, both Campbell and Stewart qualified for the Wrangler Shoot Out Grudge Match bonus and competed for the $7,500.00 prize. Campbell was first out of the chutes against Drop Zone owned by Sissons Bucking Bulls but unfortunately his ride was short-lived. Knowing he was seconds away from adding thousands of dollars to his pocket, Stewart climbed atop Girletz Rodeo Stock’s bull Weight A Minute only to hit the dirt before the eight second buzzer.
The Abbotsford Invitational presented by Wrangler continues Saturday January 30, 2010 as the top bull riders in Canada and the world compete to see who will take home the coveted event title. Tickets can be purchased online at www.abbotsfordcentre.ca, by phone at 866.977.AESC (2372) or by visiting the venue box office.
